Three cities. Three very different vibes. But they’ve all got one thing in common – they’re where a huge chunk of European adult content gets made. If you’re thinking about working in porn outside the UK, chances are you’ll end up in one of these places sooner or later. Here’s what each one is actually like from a performer’s perspective.

Prague – The Industry Workhorse

Prague doesn’t get enough credit for what it is. This city has been the backbone of European adult production for over two decades and it shows. The studios are purpose-built, the crews know exactly what they’re doing, and the whole operation runs like clockwork. There’s none of the chaos you sometimes get with smaller or newer production setups.

What performers tend to appreciate most about Prague is the volume of work. You can realistically book multiple scenes across different productions in a single trip. Fly out on a Monday, shoot Tuesday through Thursday, fly home Friday. The efficiency is impressive and it means your time and travel investment pays off properly.

The city itself is gorgeous. Cobbled streets, incredible architecture, and a nightlife scene that’s become legendary for good reason. Between shoots you’re not stuck in some industrial park on the outskirts of town. You’re in the middle of one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals.

Cost of living is a massive plus too. A proper meal out costs about a third of what you’d pay in London. A nice apartment for the week might run you 300 to 400 euros. Your scene fees go a very long way here. More details on working in the Czech Republic.

Budapest – The Hidden Powerhouse

Budapest surprises people. From the outside it doesn’t have the same reputation as Prague or Berlin, but within the industry it’s absolutely massive. Some of Europe’s biggest adult production companies are headquartered here and they run year-round casting schedules.

The standard of production is genuinely high. We’re talking proper lighting rigs, professional sound, experienced directors who’ve been in the business for years. It’s not some back-room operation. These are real studios producing content for major international distributors.

Budapest also has something Prague doesn’t quite match – variety. There’s work ranging from glamour and softcore through to hardcore and niche content. Whatever you’re comfortable with, there’s likely a production looking for exactly that. The city attracts performers from all over Europe which creates a really international working environment.

Getting there from the UK is dead easy. Ryanair and Wizz Air run cheap direct flights from several UK airports. You can be there in under three hours for less than the price of a train ticket to Manchester. Find out more about porn jobs in Hungary.

Barcelona – The New Wave

Barcelona is the newest of the three to establish itself as a major hub, but it’s catching up fast. The growth over the past five years has been remarkable. What’s driving it is a slightly different model to Prague and Budapest. There’s traditional studio production happening, sure, but Barcelona has also become the go-to city for content creator collaborations.

OnlyFans and similar platforms changed the industry and Barcelona adapted quicker than most. Performers travel there to shoot collaborative content with other creators, sharing audiences and splitting the ongoing revenue. It’s a different economic model and for some performers it’s actually more lucrative than traditional scene work because the content keeps earning.

Then there’s the obvious stuff. The weather is fantastic. The food is brilliant. The beach is right there. Working in Barcelona feels less like a work trip and more like getting paid to be on holiday. That sounds like a cliche but multiple performers have told us exactly that.

The flip side is that Barcelona is more expensive than Eastern European hubs. Accommodation and food costs are closer to UK levels. But the earning potential, especially from creator collaborations, often more than compensates. See what’s available with porn jobs in Spain.

So Which One Should You Choose?

Honestly, it depends on what you want. If you’re after volume and efficiency, Prague. If you want variety and a buzzing international scene, Budapest. If you’re into the creator economy and want sunshine while you work, Barcelona.

Most performers who go international end up working in more than one of these cities over time. They’re not mutually exclusive and each offers something the others don’t. The important thing is getting started and having the right support behind you.
